Treatment modalities

  • I carefully select and monitor medications based on each individual’s unique needs. My goal is to use the least amount of medication necessary, focusing on quality of life and overall well-being. I can also help with medication tapering and deprescribing as we work to find other modalities to replace it.

  • We can discuss alternative treatments including plant medicine, ketamine, herbal/nutraceuticals, homeopathy, and others.

  • I take a functional approach to lab testing, using results to guide personalized treatment plans. This often includes targeted elimination diets to reduce inflammation and the replenishment of key vitamins and minerals based on identified deficiencies.

  • One of the limits of conventional lab testing is that just because your nutrient levels are in the “normal” range doesn’t mean you’re meeting all of your functional nutrient needs. I can work with you to use the latest technology of lab testing to examine your nutrient levels, organic acid levels, essential and metabolic fatty acid levels, amino acid levels, level of oxidative stress, and presence of toxins, which will allow us to further optimize your treatment regimen.

  • I offer practical strategies for managing stress, improving sleep, and boosting mental clarity through healthy routines, diet changes, exercise, and mindfulness practices.

  • Techniques such as breathwork, guided meditation, and relaxation strategies are incorporated into treatment to help regulate the nervous system and support emotional healing.

  • I provide education about mental health conditions, helping individuals and families understand their symptoms, triggers, and treatment options so that they can actively participate in their healing journey.

  • I use a trauma-sensitive approach, ensuring that all aspects of care are considerate of past experiences. This approach is essential for working with those who have experienced trauma and PTSD.

  • I work with other healthcare providers, including therapists, physicians, and functional practitioners, to ensure that all aspects of your health are being addressed and treated together.

  • For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based support as part of the healing journey. This can include exploring spiritual practices, values, and beliefs that provide strength, meaning, and hope during challenging times—integrating emotional and spiritual care in a respectful, personalized way.

Here’s how the process works:

1. Email, call, or text me directly to schedule your appointment or to confirm insurance benefits.

If you still have questions before scheduling:

Use the “Schedule an appointment” link to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone call to briefly discuss your struggles and determine if I would make a good partnership.

2. Fill out intake forms

After scheduling the appointment via email or after our phone call, I will send you an intake packet to fill out before our first meeting. This will take about 30 minutes and will be reviewed in detail prior to our first appointment. There will be a place to upload your insurance card so benefits and deductible amounts can be confirmed prior.

3. Initial Evaluation (55 minutes for psych, 30 minutes for weight loss management)

This evaluation will take place online. I will learn of your struggles, what you’ve tried, and what you haven’t. We will create a plan to implement medications, supplements, and functional lab testing.

4. Follow-up visits (25 or 50 minutes)

These visits can be as frequent or infrequent as needed. We will evaluate which interventions have and have not worked and we will adjust accordingly.

Cost of GLP-1 Weight Loss Medications (Out-of-pocket only):

Every 3 months you will have to be seen by the provider. The cost for each visit will be $100 and will be billed separate from the cost of medication.

Medication will be shipped to your house along with instructions on how to administer.
